We are very excited to host the SIMULIA Technology Day in Montreal for the first time since 2019! As in the past, this in-person-only conference is free and will be held at the Montreal Dassault Systèmes Office in Montréal Underground City. This is the opportunity for you to hear from SIMULIA executives and Technical Experts about our vision and the future of our simulation technology.
We invite engineers from all industries to come together to spark conversation. The Technology Day is an excellent opportunity to network & collaborate, in person, with industry practitioners and leaders, along with SIMULIA’s network of Industry Consultants to address the challenges your Industry faces today.
Listen to our customers and partners in the area who are excited to present their simulation work at the event. Seats are limited; register now!

Adrien Couture, Cascades

Adrien Couture, Cascades
Adrien has a PhD in engineering from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in co-supervision with the Université de Bretagne-Sud. He has been an employee of Cascades since 2020. He works on the optimization and development of new products using digital simulation tools. Adrien was introduced to research during an end-of-bachelor's internship in mechanical engineering at UQTR. Following this internship, he continued his studies at the master's level in engineering (mechanical engineering concentration) at UQTR where he contributed to the development of a composite material made of flax fibers, paper and a bio-based thermoplastic (PLA). His growing interest in digital simulation and programming motivated him to continue his doctoral studies with the project of designing an automated method for the digital characterization of composite materials. The skills he acquired during his master's and doctorate were put to good use during an end-of-doctorate internship where he joined the Cascades Innovation Center team in the summer of 2019.

Ali Nour, Hydro-Québec

Ali Nour, Hydro-Québec
Dr. Nour joined Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal as a Post-Doctoral fellow and research associate from 2004 to 2007. He joined Hydro-Quebec in 2007, and now is a senior engineer at this company and a team leader of the structural analysis team. Dr. Nour was involved in the design and the assessment of several strategic facilities, including the Gentilly 2 Nuclear Power Plant, several dams, and Power Houses. Dr. Nour has been a user of Abaqus since 2004.
