Francesco Avallone

Francesco Avallone
Francesco Avallone has been a Full Professor of Fluid Dynamics at the Politecnico di Torino since May 2023. Prior to this, he was a Tenured Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology, where he also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship. He earned both his MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Naples Federico II. His doctoral research focused on non-intrusive techniques for studying boundary layer transition in hypersonic flows.
Since 2015, he has been active in the field of aeroacoustics. In 2022, he was awarded the ERC Starting Grant to investigate flow-acoustic interactions over acoustic liners. He has participated in numerous national and international research projects and has authored or co-authored more than 80 journal articles and 80 conference papers.
Professor Avallone has supervised over 10 PhD candidates. His research interests include airfoil self-noise, rotor noise, acoustic liners, HVAC systems, and fan noise. He is particularly focused on both the physical understanding of noise generation mechanisms and the development of innovative noise reduction technologies. His work combines both experimental and computational approaches.

Alessandro Benzi

Alessandro Benzi
Born in Rome, Alessandro Benzi graduated in 2018 from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Mechanical Engineering with a thesis on Multibody Simulation of Gears.
He gained work experience as a test engineer trainee from June 2018 to February 2019 at Tetrapak (Modena) in the packages mock-up laboratory.
From February 2019 to February 2024, Alessandro worked as a Virtual Validation Engineer at Comer Industries (Reggiolo, Reggio Emilia) in the design office of heavy-duty axles for agricultural and industrial vehicles.
From March 2024, he has been working at Saipem in the Advanced Technology office, where he deals with buckling simulation of subsea pipelines and, recently, with advanced CFD simulation.

Raul Blecic

Raul Blecic
Raul Blecic received a PhD from the University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), Leuven, Belgium in 2018.
After a postdoc position, he joined Texas Instruments GmbH working as an analog design engineer from 2019 to 2022. Since 2022, Raul has been with Rimac Technology d.o.o. working as an EMC Engineer. There he is responsible for electromagnetic simulations of automotive components. Raul's interests include analog and power electronics, high-frequency and RF design and analysis. Raul has authored and co-authored multiple patents and publications.

Francesco Buffoli

Francesco Buffoli
Francesco Buffoli is a bachelor's student in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. He has been with Polimi Motorcycle Factory since 2022 and became Head of CFD analysis in 2023.

Marco Cesari

Marco Cesari
Marco Cesari holds a master's degree in Vehicle Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He completed his thesis in collaboration with Ferrari, focusing on the phenomena of self-excited vibrations on a straight acclerating manoeuvre. Since 2023 Marco has been employed at Ferrari as a Vehicle Engineer, where he specializes in FEM and multibody simulations for suspension and chassis components in GT cars.

Andres Dabas

Andres Dabas
After taking a master degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of L'Aquila (L'Aquila, Italy), he started working at Thales Alenia Space in Italy as a Process Engineer in the Electronics Technology and Processes department, mainly focusing on the evaluation of substrates, components and assembly technologies for space applications. He is also a component of the Technology R&D group involved in several research projects that covers the evaluation of new substrates and components.

Daniele DI CRISTOFARO

Daniele DI CRISTOFARO
Daniele Di Cristofaro is a PhD Student in Structural Seismic and Geotechnical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, within the structure section. In 2022, he obtained a master’s degree in mathematical engineering at Politecnico di Milano. Currently, he is working on in-depth research specifically geared towards Fluid-Structure-Interaction numerical scheme involving thin and lightweight structures, which can be effectively treated using shell solid mechanics theory.
Daniele likes to spend his free time swimming, reading and travelling.

Salvatore Di Nuzzo

Salvatore Di Nuzzo
Salvatore di Nuzzo, who has worked at Capgemini Engineering since 2017, is the FEM discipline leader of the Structural and Dynamic simulations team for the center of excellence in Mechanical and Physical Engineering at Capgemini in Italy. He has been responsible for this discipline for the last three years.
Salvatore graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. His thesis focused on Squeak and Rattle on the internal trims of vehicles. He has always been working in the field of CAE simulations. With his main experiences in the automotive field for various OEMs, he also follows clients in the aerospace field, home appliance and energy.

Carlo Di Pasquale

Carlo Di Pasquale
Carlo Di Pasquale is a mechanical engineer with a master's degree in
automotive engineering. His thesis was about an adaptive pressure system for
tires. He has worked at Capgemini since 2019 and is now a team leader with
expertise in FEM and multibody simulations at the Italian Center of Excellence
for Mechanical and Physical Engineering.
Carlo’s main experience is in multibody and structural analysis for different automotive
and aerospace OEMs.

Alessandro Dimauro

Alessandro Dimauro
Alessandro Dimauro is a mechanical engineer and currently a research fellow at IdeaLab, the Integrated Design and Engineering Applications laboratory of the "Enzo Ferrari" Department of Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. His research activity focuses on the definition, analysis, and optimization of robotic processes through model-based approaches and the integration of computer-aided design tools. Among his most recent contributions are the development of an integrated methodology for the design and implementation of robotic systems dedicated to the handling of composite material components, and the integrated analysis and optimization of robotic welding processes.

Francesca Ferrante

Francesca Ferrante
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Bari, she is currently completing a master's degree in Vehicle Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. From the outset of her academic journey, she has developed a strong interest in the automotive sector, which led her to take an active role in the More Modena Racing team, involved in the international Formula SAE competition.
As a member of the Aerodynamics division, she contributed to the design of the engine cover, focusing in particular on its interaction with other vehicle components, including the rear wing. This formative experience enabled her to consolidate her technical skills and to engage with the challenges of aerodynamic analysis and design in a practical and stimulating environment.

Mattia Maggi

Mattia Maggi
Mattia Maggi was born in Florence, Italy, on February 26th, 1992. He received the B.Sc. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering and the M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering from
the University of Florence in 2020 while working as a ski instructor at the Abetone ski area. From August to December 2019, he joined the IETR, Université de Rennes, where he worked toward his
master’s thesis about Terahertz Waveguide Slotted Antenna Arrays. From October 2020 to December 2023, he has pursued his Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering at the Institut d’Électronique et des Technologies du NuméRique (IETR), Université de Rennes, Rennes, France. It concerned analyzing and designing a wideband
scanning phased array for SatCom applications. His research interests include synthesizing wideband low-profile antenna arrays with wide scanning capabilities and high polarization purity. Since February 2024, he has played the role of engineer in the low-observability technologies team at Leonardo SpA.

Carolina Miozzi

Carolina Miozzi
Carolina Miozzi holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Engineering (2017) and a
PhD in Electronic Engineering (2020) from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
Her academic and professional journey has been deeply rooted in the field of
electromagnetics and innovative wireless technologies for biomedical and
industrial applications.
Carolina's doctoral research focused on developing implantable EMG sensors and
wireless systems to control upper-limb robotic prostheses in collaboration with
INAIL and the Italian Institute of Technology. This experience laid the
foundation for her continued work at the intersection of advanced sensing and
applied electromagnetics.
Since 2019, Carolina has worked at Radio6ense Srl, a spin-off of the University
of Rome Tor Vergata specializing in Industrial IoT and Digital Health. She
currently serves as Senior Project Manager and became Co-owner of the company
in 2023.
She leads R&D activities aimed at designing cutting-edge passive and
wireless sensing platforms based on RAIN RFID technology. These solutions allow
for battery-free, real-time monitoring across various industrial and healthcare
environments by embedding smart sensors into everyday objects and complex
industrial environments. Carolina has authored numerous scientific publications
and is a co-inventor on three patents in the field of wireless sensor systems.
Her work bridges academic research and market-driven innovation, focusing on
transforming complex electromagnetic principles into practical technologies
that meet real-world needs.

Sivia Monaco

Sivia Monaco
Silvia Monaco has a degree in maths and works in the geomechanical modelling group of ENI since 2007. Since the beginning she has been involved in subsidence, cap rock integrity and fault stability problems facing these issues through Abaqus simulator. She has followed a research project in collaboration with Simulia to develop an automatic workflow for building the 3d geomechanical model and for the implementation of the iterative solver.

Giovanni Mongini

Giovanni Mongini
Giovanni Maria Mongini is a Junior Electrical Engineer, who graduated with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of La Sapienza in Rome, Italy, in July 2022, achieving the highest grade (110/110). Since October 2022, he holds the position of EMC and Power Engineer at Thales Alenia Space in Rome, Italy, a leading company specializing in the design and manufacture of space systems and satellites. At Thales Alenia Space, Giovanni Maria Mongini applies his electrical engineering skills contributing to satellite development on the following programs: SBG-TIR, Galileo Second Generation, CIMR, KPS, LEO-PNT. He worked on the development of a new generation of anechoic materials for EMC and was the co-author of two papers: “Feasibility Study of a Graphene-Loaded Composite for Improved EMI Performance of Satellite Cavities”, which was presented at EMC Europe 2023; and “Performance Assessment of Magnetic Polymeric Composites for EMI Reduction in Small Satellites”, which was presented at the 2025 ESA Workshop on Aerospace EMC. In 2024, he attended EMC Europe 2024 as co-author of “Magnetic Cleanliness Management in Small Satellites”.

Fabio Morgia

Fabio Morgia
Fabio Morgia is a highly experienced antenna designer with in-depth knowledge of modern antenna systems. He specializes in metasurface antennas, GRIN (Gradient Index) lens antennas and waveguide antennas. Due to his degree in microelectronics, Fabio has a deep knowledge of the interaction between electromagnetic waves and materials, enabling him to develop highly efficient and innovative antenna solutions.

Edoardo Negri

Edoardo Negri
Dr. Edoardo Negri, was born in Orvieto, Italy, in 1997. He received both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering, with honorable mention for his academic achievements, from Sapienza University of Rome in July 2019 and 2021, respectively. In 2025, He received the Ph.D. (cum laude and with the “Doctor Europaeus” label) in Information and Communication Technologies from the same institution. Since July 2024, He has been a Research Assistant at the Institute for Microsystems and Microelectronics of the National Research Council (CNR-IMM) of Italy pursuing research on THz devices, metasurfaces, and leaky-wave antennas. From March to May 2023, he was a Visiting Ph.D. Student with the Institut d’Électronique et de Télécommunications de Rennes (IETR), Université de Rennes 1, Rennes, France. From September to November 2023, he was a Visiting Ph.D. Student in Ferdinand-Braun-Institut (FBH), Berlin, Germany.
Dr. Negri received the “Antonio Ventura” Award as one of the best engineering students at the Sapienza University of Rome in 2022, the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (APS) Fellowship Award, the European Microwave Association (EuMA) Internship Award in 2023, the honorary mention for the “Premio Barzilai” award at the “Riunione Nazionale di Elettromagnetismo” (RiNEm) in Viareggio, Italy, and the best student paper Award at the International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (ISAP) in Incheon, South Korea in 2024.

Davide Ramaccia

Davide Ramaccia
Davide Ramaccia (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees (summa cum laude) in electronic and ICT engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy, in 2007, 2009, and 2013, respectively. He was with the Department of Engineering, from 2013 to 2021, and has been with the Department of Industrial, Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering, since 2021, with Roma Tre University. He has coauthored more than 250 articles in international journals, conference proceedings, book chapters, and holds one patent. His main research interests include the modeling and design of (space–)time-varying metamaterials and metasurfaces and their applications to microwave components and antennas, and the analysis of anomalous scattering effects in temporal metamaterials. He has been serving the scientific community, by playing roles in the management of scientific societies, in the editorial board of international journals, and in the organization of conferences and courses. He is currently the General Secretary of the Virtual Institute for Artificial Electromagnetic Materials and MetamMETAMORPHOSE VI, the International Metamaterials Society) and has been an Elected Member of the Board of Directors of the same association for three consecutive terms, since 2014. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE ACCESS, since 2019; a Scientific Moderator for IEEE TECHRXIV, since 2019; and a technical reviewer for the major international journals related to electromagnetic field theory and metamaterials.

Martina Ricci is a Ph.D. student at the University of Florence. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Martina’s research focuses on the use of ultrasound technology to selectively induce apoptosis in tumor cells, contributing to the development of non-invasive cancer treatment methods.

Margherita’s current research involves the development of perfusion machines and 3D bioprinting technologies, with the goal of advancing tissue engineering and organ preservation techniques.

Sergio Rossi studied at the University of Rome Tor Vergata earning a master's degree in bioelectronic engineering. His interest in electromagnetic technologies led him toward the world of antenna and radio frequency engineering.
After a year as a consultant, Sergio currently works as an antenna designer in the defense industry at ELT Group.

Roman Tkadlec received his PhD in Electrotechnical Engineering from the Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic.
Since 2007, Roman has been working as a Research and Development RF Engineer at Andrew, focusing on passive RF components for base station antennas. His expertise includes RF filters, multiplexers, and Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS).

Giuseppe Dambrosio
Giuseppe Dambrosio is a 34 years old mechanical engineer. He was born in Stigliano (Matera) and achieved the Master's degree in Mechanical Engineer at Politecnico of Bari in 2016. Giuseppe has been working in the field of virtual simulation since 2017 for companies such Aprilia, GE Avio Aero and for ITER nuclear fusion project.
He is currently working at CNH Industrial, providing support for the virtual validation in terms of chassis strength and durability. Giuseppe has had the opportunity to learn and simulate the fatigue of hyperelastic materials, providing a contribution in this sense to the company he works for.

After Tom graduated from University of Birmingham, school of manufacturing and mechanical engineering, in 1999 he started his career as a Simpack sales and support engineer in the UK. During 2000, he visited Simpack HQ and has remained in Germany every since. He undertook many customer projects in software customisation, and as the company grow he became part of the development team. After the acquisition of Simpack by Dassault Systemes in 2014, he setup the newly formed back-end support team and integrated many 3DS workflows with Simpack development tools. In 2021 he took up his current position as an Industry Process Senior Consultant, where his Simpack knowledge is used to maximise the value our customers derive from our solutions.

Lorenzo Chiarbonello

Lorenzo CHIARBONELLO graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico of Turin in 2004. Since then he has worked in the simulation field, primarily in durability analysis
as a consultant in IVECO.
In 2012 Lorenzo joined Pininfarina as the primary reference for NVH analysis on two Mini-BMW cars. In 2016 he moved to OMT, a factory producing and designing large injectors
for naval engines, where Lorenzo was a designer and worked on developing new analysis methodologies with Abaqus.
In September 2021, Lorenzo joined Dassault Systèmes as a Process Industry Consultant for the EuroMed region, currently he is the technical
account manager for Ferrari, CNH, IVECO accounts.

Alessio Croci

Alessio Croci
Alessio graduated from the Politecnico di Milano with a master's degree in Advanced Mechanical Design. During his studies, he developed a deep interest and expertise in finite element modeling. In 2023, he joined Dassault Systèmes' SIMULIA EUROMED team as an Industry Process Consultant. His work focuses on assisting clients to effectively address their requests, aiming to enhance their skills in using the software. Alessio's areas of specialization include simulation of manufacturing processes, which sometimes require advanced methodologies such as CEL and SPH, dynamic and explicit simulations.

Wafae El Fennouri

Wafae El Fennouri
Wafae El Fennouri is an R&D Application Specialist at Dassault Systèmes, working within the Modeling and Simulation R&D team. She focuses on the development and improvement of system simulation features in the IVCAD Suite, with a particular emphasis on integrating realistic RF circuit behavior into advanced system-level analyses. Wafae holds an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from ENSIL-ENSCI (Limoges, France). She began her career at AMCAD Engineering, gaining experience in behavioral modeling of high-power amplifiers. She has also contributed to IEEE research publications in this field.

Sebastien Gautier

Sebastien Gautier
Sebastien Gautier obtained his mechanical engineering degree from EPFL in Switzerland in 2001. He began his career at MTU Aeroengines in Munich, focusing on aerodynamics and structural analysis. Later, he assumed various Technical Director roles at EXA Corp in Europe. In 2014, Sebastien became the Managing Director for the Aerospace Industry, a position he held until the integration of EXA into Dassault Systèmes in 2019. At Dassault Systèmes, he served as SIMULIA Head of Aerospace and SIMULIA GEO Leader EUROCENTRAL until July 2023, when he transitioned to the role of SIMULIA VP Sales and Marketing.

Davide Ghisolfi

Davide Ghisolfi
Davide Ghisolfi is an EUROMED Industry Process Consultant Specialist at SIMULIA Fluids.
He holds a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering with a focus on aerodynamic applications. Davide began his career in Germany, where he spent two years at SIMULIA working on Thermal Protection applications. Since the end of 2020, he has been based in Italy, supporting customers with activities related to aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, and thermal protection.
His role also includes the development and implementation of automated processes aimed at enhancing customer workflows and improving simulation efficiency.

Domenica Iero

Domenica Iero
Domenica IERO holds a Ph.D. in Computational Electromagnetics. During her academic career, Domenica’s primary research focused on developing antenna array synthesis techniques for satellite and biomedical applications (Hyperthermia), designing wireless power transfer systems while evaluating their interaction with the human body.
Then Domenica faced new industrial challenges from the electromagnetic perspective, such as Autonomous Driving and Powertrain Electrification in the automotive industry, while working as Infotainment & Antenna/EMC Consultant at FCA – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (nowadays Stellantis Group), EMC Simulation Consultant at Ferrari and, later, as Senior EMC Engineer at Eldor Corporation.
As SIMULIA Industry Process Consultant Senior Specialist at Dassault Systèmes, Domenica supports companies from various industries in improving their design and validation process through electromagnetic simulation.

Benedikt König

Benedikt König
Benedikt Koenig is a former Airbus wing shape designer and a distinguished aerospace engineer with over 20 years of experience, specializing in aircraft aerodynamics and CFD simulation methods. He holds a doctorate degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Stuttgart in Germany and has authored numerous publications in the field.
Recently, Benedikt has expanded his expertise to the Life Sciences industry, aiming to bring the successful simulation technologies from aerospace to drive innovation in the medical device development.
Benedikt believes in the potential of establishing a similar virtual testing paradigm for medical technologies as it has been used for a long time in the design of aircraft.

Emmanuel Leroux

Emmanuel Leroux
Emmanuel Leroux received the “Diplome d’ingenieur” in 1994 from Politech’Lille and immediately after joined High Design Technology HDT (Torino) as Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Signal Integrity Application Engineer. He received the Ph.D in Electronics in 1998 from University of Lille while working for HDT. In 2000 he joined Computer Simulation Technology (CST), first as Application Engineer (Darmstadt, Germany) and then opening the CST office in Italy. From 2005 he was CST Country Manager for the Southern East Mediterranean area. After the acquisition of CST by Dassault Systèmes in 2016, he led the multi-domain simulation technical/sales Team in that same area. In 2021, he joined SOLIDWORKS Team to launch the Electromagnetic simulation business at Worldwide level. From 2023 Emmanuel is leading the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) strategy for the Simulation Brand (SIMULIA) at Dassault Systèmes. His job, with his Team, is to propose R&D, Partnerships to meet a 3Y/6Ytarget for Multi-domain / Multi-scale MODeling and SIMulation (MODSIM) in Electronics. His responsibility includes also the guidance to Go-To-Market for the simulation of Semiconductors and PCBs.

Ross McLendon

Ross McLendon
Ross McLendon serves as the product manager for the Abaqus FEA structural solvers and Abaqus/CAE interactive product within the SIMULIA Structures R&D organization in Johnston, Rhode Island (USA). He joined Dassault Systèmes Systemés in 2013 as a member of the back-end mechanics support team after completing his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering at Texas A&M University, where he studied composite mechanics. During his time in support, he led the development of the Micromechanics Plugin for Abaqus/CAE, after which he moved into the R&D organization as a developer for materials and then material calibration before taking on the Product Manager role. He works closely with the Abaqus development teams while collaborating with customers and the field and sales organizations to help ensure that the Abaqus FEA structural solvers at the heart of all DS structural simulation continue to deliver the class-leading capabilities needed to solve DS customers’ most challenging engineering mechanics problems.

Simone Meduri

Simone Meduri
Simone Meduri holds a degree in Structural Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. His passion for numerical simulation led him to pursue a PhD at the same institution, where Simone deepened his expertise and gained hands-on experience with SIMULIA with an internship at the Dassault Systèmes’s R&D SIMULIA headquarters in Providence, USA.
In his prior professional engagements, Simone specialized in Structural Simulations, Fluid-Structure Interaction, and Vibroacoustics. In 2023, Simone transitioned to the role of Industry Process Consultant within the SIMULIA EuroMed Team in Italy. His primary objective is to discern and address clients' needs effectively, thereby enabling them to optimize the utilization of the software. His areas of focus include MODSIM, Automation and Optimization with Machine Learning, and Fluid-Structure Interaction.

Bozhidar Naydenov

Bozhidar Naydenov
Bozhidar holds a PhD. in Robotics. Graduated with Master Degree in Industrial Engineering from Technical University of Sofia.
His main mission is to provide high-level technical pre-sales, consulting and support on SIMULIA products. Bruno Passone

Bruno Passone
Bruno Passone is an Industry Process Senior Consultant at Dassault Systèmes, where he helps companies optimize their development processes by leveraging virtual twins through SIMULIA Multibody solutions. His work focuses on reducing development costs, improving methodologies and workflows, enabling innovative product experiences, and fostering sustainable innovation.
He holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, where he actively contributed to Formula Student and industrial projects related to vehicle dynamics and multibody simulation.
Before joining Dassault Systèmes, Bruno gained over 10 years of experience in the R&D department of a leading tire manufacturer, covering multiple roles: from Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, then Tire FE Analyst specializing in Force and Moment characterization, to Tire Pre-Development Engineer and finally leading the automation and virtualization of tire simulation processes and methodologies.

Carlo Alberto Perugini received his Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) in 2020. Since then, he has been working in computational and experimental aeroacoustics for vehicle development as a research associate at FKFS and Ph.D. candidate in computational aeroacoustics at the University of Stuttgart. He joined Dassault Systèmes two years ago, where he continues to apply his expertise in aeroacoustics to support simulation-driven innovation in the automotive industry.

Francesco Polidoro is the Director of Worldwide Business Development at SIMULIA. He spent the last 15 years helping companies develop products through the use of numerical simulation. Francesco’s background lies in fluids simulation across several industries, from aerospace to automotive. Francesco holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

Giacomo Ronchetti
Giacomo Ronchetti is an Industry Process Consultant Intern at SIMULIA in the EuroMed region. He holds an MSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, where he conducted his thesis on passive flow control techniques in collaboration with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. With a strong background in aerodynamics and multiphase flow simulations, Giacomo is currently focused on thermal simulation applications.

Leonardo Sassi is a Portfolio Manager Director of the Electromagnetic domain in the SIMULIA brand of Dassault Systèmes, with more than 20 years’ of experience in Electromagnetic (EM) and Electronic Simulations. Leonardo gained his experience in many years of product planning, technical sales and worldwide support in high tech, automotive, aerospace and defense industries. He received the Electronic Engineer Laurea and Ph.D. at Politecnico di Bari, Italy. Leonardo joined CST in 2001 and the SIMULIA brand after Dassault Systèmes acquisition.

Raffaele Scuderi

Raffaele Scuderi
Raffaele Scuderi received his master degree (summa cum laude) in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2010. After he graduated, he joined the Microwave and Radiation Laboratory of the University of Pisa as Ph.D. student. During this period, his research activity was focused on the numerical solution of Maxwell equations with special attention to the development of equivalent radiation models for EMC problems. In 2011, he has been visiting student at the department of Electrical Engineering of the Pennsylvania State University. In 2012 he joined IDS –Ingegneria Dei Sistemi as System Analyst and then as Application Engineer. His job was focused on simulation and measurements of the electromagnetic phenomena for complex platforms (radiation and scattering), in the radio frequency and infrared spectrum. In 2018 he joined Dassault Systèmes and his current role is Electromagnetics Industry Process Consultant. He works in the field of the electromagnetic simulation as SIMULIA EMAG specialist, contributing into the pre/post-sales activities, consulting services and R&D. Raffaele actively contributes to the scientific community publishing articles and holding lectures and seminars on electromagnetic simulation.

Davide Tallini

Davide Tallini
Davide Tallini received the Laurea degree in Telecommunication Engineering from “Sapienza” University of Rome in February 2007. While at the university, his scientific interests focused on electromagnetic theory and applications in a specific topic: scanning antennas and arrays. During his master thesis, he collaborated with SELEX SISTEMI INTEGRATI in Rome in the design and optimization of a planar phased array for radar applications. At the end of 2007, he joined CST AG as an Application Engineer. Joining Dassault Systèmes with the acquisition of CST, Davide is now, in his current role as as EuroMed Technical Manager, responsible for the electromagnetic simulation domain at SIMULIA.

Mert Yucetepe
Mert Yucetepe works at Dassault Systèmes as EUROMED SIMULIA Industry Process Senior Consultant.
After completing his master’s degree in the USA, Mert joined Exa Corporation in Detroit in 2015 and worked as a Senior Application Engineer focusing on cooling airflow, thermal management and workflow automation simulation projects.
He spent last 10 years enabling companies developing efficient products by utilizing virtual numerical simulation, especially via SIMULIA PowerFLOW.
Mert has key expertise in advanced fluid mechanics, heat transfer and CFD simulation across several industries including T&M, A&D and IE.
Mert holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), IL, USA.

Benjamin Duda

- Dr. Benjamin DUDA is a Technology Director in the SIMULIA R&D organization, where he leads the fluids product management team. Prior to that, he was working as a CFD application engineer at EXA PowerFLOW, which was later acquired by Dassault Systemes, and as a post-doc at NASA Langley. He earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE Toulouse for his research on scale-resolving turbulence models in collaboration with Airbus France and Ansys Germany.
