Parking & How to Reach the Event Location

Parking

Parking is unavailable at the university campus. Although nearby parking spaces exist, their use may be restricted and quite costly. The venue is located in the city center near the Colosseum.
We recommend traveling by public transport.

How to Reach the Faculty

a) on Foot:

-> If you are near the Colosseum, you can take the escalators inside the metro station and then continue up toward Piazza della Polveriera, and from there, turn left toward Piazza S. Pietro in Vincoli.

-> If you are along Via Cavour, you can take the stairs that go up to San Pietro in Vincoli or that start from the Metro' di Cavour stop. In the second case, you can enter from the rear entrance on Via delle Sette Sale.

-> Alternatively, the same entrance can be reached after walking through the Colle Oppio park, coming from Santa Maria Maggiore or Piazza Vittorio.

b) by Public Transport:

-> Subway:

The subway line B (blue) goes to the Cavour and Colosseum stops, connecting the Department with Termini Station (interchange with the Railways and with Metro' line A), the University City (Policlinico stop), and with the Urban Railway Network (Piramide and Tiburtina stops).

-> Bus:

Lines 81, 85, 87, 11 and 27 stop at the Colosseum. The first three connect with Piazza San Giovanni and Piazza Venezia, while the last two connect Termini Station to the Monteverde District.

-> Tram:

Trams no. 30, which connects the University City with the Piramide Cestia and 13, which connects Via Prenestina with the Monteverde district, passing through Piazza San Giovanni, stop near the Colosseum.

c) from the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport:

-> by Taxi:

The cost of the taxi service is over 50 Euros, including luggage, for a maximum of four passengers to all destinations within the Aurelian Walls that delimit the central area of the city (for more information, you can consult the website of the municipality of Rome at this link). A taxi ride from Rome to the airport lasts about 50 minutes and should never exceed 90 minutes during heavy traffic conditions (typically 7:30-9:30 and 17:30-19:30). Authorized vehicles are yellow or white; supplements and tips are not indicated on the taximeter.

-> by Train:

Using the dedicated railway connection is very convenient. In fact, you can reach the train platforms directly from the baggage claim by following a pathway of escalators and moving walkways that can automatically transport luggage as well.

There are Two Alternative Trains:

1)
With first-class service, the Leonardo Express offers over 24 thousand seats per day on trains equipped with air conditioning, completely renovated carriages, an automatic sound system and large luggage spaces, always guaranteeing a high level of comfort and safety.
From 6:00 to 23:00, approximately every day, seven days a week. This ensures a departure every half hour in both directions, with journeys lasting 31 minutes. The cost of the service is 11 euros per person. Every child under 12 travels for free if accompanied by an adult.

2)
The Metropolitan Service Line fr1 runs every 15 minutes and connects the Fiumicino Airport with the stations of Rome Tiburtina, Rome Ostiense (adjacent to the Metro' Piramide), Rome Trastevere and Rome Tuscolana. The cost is 5.50 € (metropolitan train).

In both cases, we recommend continuing your travel to the faculty by using the “Metro' B” and getting off at either the Colosseo or Cavour.

Hotel Recommendations

We suggest you book a hotel room or B&B along Metro B (all the stops from Tiburtina Station to EUR Palasport) for an easier connection to the event location. Currently, various small, reasonable, and well-located hotels offer price ranges between 100 and 130 €.

Feel free to contact us if you need hotel suggestions. We’re not providing specific names here, as it would be difficult to keep up with their availability.
