Rich Albert, ConocoPhillips Company
Rich is a Staff Reservoir Geomechanicist at ConocoPhillips Company and has used the finite element numerical technique to solve problems in geomechanics for about 30 years. Rich has spent the past 20 years in the oil and gas industry. He has used Abaqus for most of this time, and some notable projects have involved coding user subroutines involving material nonlinearity in classical, rate-independent plasticity, salt deformation, and fracturing of rock. Rich's most recent work involves hydraulic fracturing in porous rock, the XFEM technique, and extensive Python scripting within pre- and post-processing. Rich holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Universities of Rochester, Wisconsin, and Washington (St. Louis) in Geosciences and Mechanical Engineering, and post-docs at Northwestern and Sydney. His hobbies are playing drums and piano, history, and his primary text editor will always be improved vi.

Deepak Kumar Patel
Deepak completed his Ph.D. at the Composite Structures Laboratory, Department of Aerospace Engineering at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and continued as Visiting Research Scientist at University of Washington, Seattle. He joined the DS SIMULIA team in Santa Clara, CA in 2018 and engaged with growing industries of High-Tech, A&D and Life Science to provide technical solutions. Deepak is passionate about leveraging his research background to drive simulation products sales growth and adoption at North America customer sites by executing top quality technical sales engagement.

Anna Liang
Anna Liang is a Modeling and Simulation Industry Process Consultant with DASSAULT SYSTEMES. She has been with DS since 2021, and she is responsible for developing and demonstrating solutions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Anna received her Master’s degree in Nuclear Science and Engineering from MIT, specializing in thermal hydraulics and fundamental heat transfer.

Ani Rajagopal has been serving as an Industry Process Consultant at SIMULIA since 2019, joining the Worldwide Fluids team following the integration of Exa Corporation. With nearly 8 years of expertise in fluids and thermal sciences, he serves as an expert voice in supporting customers across all industries including Industrial Equipment and Transportation & Mobility. In his role within SIMULIA, he focuses on enhancing fluid solutions through physics-testing, and deploying these solutions to optimize customer processes, particularly through automation. Recently, he has been a key member of the core validation group for SIMULIA’s AI/ML initiatives, specifically for fluids-related applications.

Dr. Zhuang SUN is an Industry Process Expert Specialist at Dassault Systèmes. His research interests include micromechanics, reservoir geomechanics, and underground gas storage. He holds two granted U.S. patents and has authored or co-authored more than 30 technical papers. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
