Shawn has over 25 years’ experience in both the mining industry and software development. He has worked in various roles over the years, ranging from Principal Consultant in Mining Engineering, Software Developer, Development Manager and most recently as a Portfolio Director for GEOVIA. Shawn's focus is on the Design and Engineering space within GEOVIA’s products. Shawn is based on the east coast of Australia and as such, likes to spend his spare time down at the beach surfing.

Min LIANG

Min LIANG is a senior consulting specialist at GEOVIA, Dassault Systèmes. With a Ph.D. in Geostatistics and Data Science, Min brings 9 years of experience in spatial data analysis, resource estimation, and machine learning applications. Dedicated to advancing geostatistical methodologies and data-driven solutions in geosciences.

Ardy WIRATAMA

Ardy WIRATAMA is a senior industry process expert on the Ideas Lab team. The team collaborates with different technologies within Dassault Systemes to build innovative solutions for the resources industry. Some of the solutions they have built are Mining Intelligence and Mine Operations Management. He has been with Dassault Systemes Australia for more than five years.

Claver GNAMIEN is a mining professional with over 15 years of experience. Passionate about Resource Estimation, Strategic Mine planning and Mining Project Evaluation. Interested in Business Strategy and Management, Mineral Economics and any Technologies that support a more sustainable mining industry.

Cristian POBLETE MATAMALA

Cristian POBLETE MATAMALA
Cristian POBLETE is an App Portfolio Senior Manager and a mining engineer. He is an expert in strategic planning for open-pit mines with 15 years of experience, including 13 years at Dassault Systèmes. He developed the "Robust Strategic Mine Planning" approach. This approach integrates GEOVIA and SIMULIA to analyse thousands of mining project scenarios. Currently, Cristian is leading the definition of the roadmap for new strategic mine planning solutions, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Gustavo PILGER

Gustavo PILGER is a Mining Engineer/Geostatistician with over 20 years’ experience in the global mining industry and with a strong background in mineral resource modelling and uncertainty analysis, holding a PhD and a MSc degree in geostatistics and a specialisation degree in Mining Geostatistics from the Paris School of Mines.
Gustavo has worked for large mining corporations and consulting organisations, where he has been working with a vast range of commodities located in several parts of the globe in collaboration with multidisciplinary groups. He has also experience in all aspects of Technology Development for the mining industry.
As Head of GEOVIA R&D within Dassault Systèmes, Gustavo manages the strategic definition and development of GEOVIAs’ portfolio. He provides strategic views to define the technology vision for modelling and simulating the planet in a responsible manner. With leadership teams across Dassault Systèmes he contributes to defining transformational technologies to enable companies to overcome their challenges, improving predictability, efficiency, safety and sustainability whilst maximising shareholder value.

Ralph SMITH

Ralph SMITH commenced his career in the mining sector, initially working in geospatial engineering before moving into mining engineering. He is passionate about the need and benefits of business transformation, creating value and solving industry challenges. While the industry focuses on change, he has contributed to transformation for over 25 years.
During his professional career, he has worked on diverse projects, from 100kt to 30Mt production objectives across a range of commodities e.g. gold; copper; lead; zinc; silver; uranium; nickel; iron ore, talc; rare earths; and mineral sands around the globe.
He saw Dassault Systemes as the company with an established record of achieving business transformation in various industries, joining to lead the mining and infrastructure services globally and deliver value and facilitate positive change.

Imam HIDAYAT

Imam HIDAYAT
Imam Hidayat has a background in Geological Engineering from the University of Gadjah Mada, he has accumulated extensive experience in the mining industry. Since 2013, Imam has been with PT Agincourt Resources, following previous roles at PT Padang Karunia Group (2011-2013), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (2008-2011), and PT Tanito Group (2005-2007). Specializing in Mine Geology Grade Control and serving as a Senior Mine Geologist, he has significantly contributed to the field. Their latest publication, "Using Geological Analogues And Proxies To Better Determine AMD Risk," was released in 2021.

With 19 years of experience in mine surveying, I am a Grade 1 authorised Mine Surveyor proficient in both underground and surface operations. My expertise spans across various mining sites throughout Australia, where I have consistently demonstrated precision and reliability. Additionally, I bring a background in Engineering and Land Surveying, further enhancing my capability to deliver accurate and efficient surveying solutions. My career is marked by a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in mining operations.

Asmita MAHANTA

Asmita MAHANTA
Asmita has +25 years of experience in Exploration and Mining. She started as a Graduate Geophysicist in BHP Minerals Exploration in India in 1997 and worked in various roles across continents in BHP including Minerals Exploration, Innovation and Western Australian Iron Ore. Her current role is Global Practice Lead Geophysics in BHP Geoscience Centre of Excellence. She holds a master’s degree in applied Geophysics from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad.
Asmita has led teams of technical specialists to deliver technical support, build R&D strategy, generate innovation pipeline and execute data strategy for orebody characterisation. She has led through several innovations in geoscience, both in greenfield exploration and grade control space from concept to implementation. She has entrenched the use of geophysics in the iron ore value chain from resource definition to grade control to material handling. She is very passionate about inclusion & diversity and building Geoscience capability to enable future options and delivering deposit knowledge to realise our full potential.

Johann DANGIN

Johann Dangin enjoys working with technology and geology, and seeing how the new can apply to the old.
Johann co-founded DeepLime, exploring the space of data science in geology, and accompanying resource companies in their digital transition.
He has worked on poly-metallic, coal and lateritic/bauxite ore bodies from a variety of angles, including lab assay data validation, automated sample classification, implicit modelling, resource estimation, grade control processes, dig limit optimisation, and pit optimisation, all for the automation and standardisation of data and modelling processes.
DeepLime is partnering with Geovia to develop the next generation of resource estimation tools within their 3DExperience platform.
