Anthony Walsh has been working since 2011 at ESA/ESOC with responsibilities in the development and maintenance of ESOC’s mission ground segments. Anthony is project manager for the Multi-Mission Infrastructure Program, which is the subject of this presentation.

Arjen Spaans is a systems engineer (CSEP) and MBSE specialist at Airbus Defence and Space.
He currently leads the development of a UAF based architecture modelling methodology for large scale defence programs, heading a team of senior MBSE experts covering the full scope of architecture development, from modeling methods and tooling to data quality, deliverable definition and organisational alignment.
His approach to MBSE is founded in practicality and minimalism. Models must serve an explicit purpose and not exist for their own sake. This means deliverable-driven modelling activities and reviews, explicit data ownership, technical management enablement and an explicit boundary of what is modeled and what is not.

Dr. Dirk Zimmer is Chairman of the Modelica Association and employed at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). He received his PhD degree at the Department of Computer Science of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) with an award of excellence. Also, he is lecturer at the Institute of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

For more than ten years, he headed a research team at DLR in the field of aircraft energy systems and founded the popular open-source Modelica library DLR ThermoFluid Stream for the robust modeling of complex thermal architectures. With his change to the field of robotics, he revisits his roots in computer science and develops new compilation schemes for highly scalable Modelica models.

Jaewung Jung has been working for Hyundai Motor Company over 14 years as Durability Technology Engineer in South Korea. He had worked as a Vehicle Durability Test Engineer who develops test specifications from parts to vehicle level with Road Load Data Acquisition. He has now changed his role as a simulation engineer who replaces physical vehicle durability tests with Virtual methodology using Multi-Physical vehicle simulation based on Dymola.

A graduate of a Master’s degree program in Computer Science and the leader of the Silesian Phoenix project. Responsible for overseeing the overall execution of the project and ensuring proper organization and coordination of all activities. Also leading the software development team, working collaboratively on the development of all software used on the Phoenix III platform, including systems enabling platform maneuverability, long-distance communication, and other key functionalities. Currently preparing to begin PhD studies.

René Honcak is Head of Digital Twin in the Electrified Powertrain Technology division at ZF, where he leads the development and implementation of digital twins for e-mobility. Prior to this, he served as Head of Digital Twin at ASAP Engineering. He began his career as a research assistant at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in the field of micro- and nanotechnology.He studied Applied Mathematics (B.Sc. Scientific Computing, M.Sc. Stochastic Engineering) and has expertise in modeling and simulation, machine learning, system architecture, and technical project management. With extensive experience in the automotive and manufacturing industries, he drives the advancement of digital development processes and innovative technologies.

Frederik Moers studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. After his graduation he started his pHD at the Institute for Machine Elements and Systems Engineering (MSE) at RWTH Aachen University in 2023. In his research he investigated the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods in large development projects. For his dissertation he investigates the efficient extraction of MBSE system architectures from legacy data, like physical behavior models, to accelerate the application of MBSE in industrial practice. From mid-2024 until the end of 2025 he was the project leader of the MSE's contribution for the Einstein Telescope, a planned gravitational wave detector. Since early 2026 he is head of the MSE's Systems Engineering department for Connected Systems. His department investigates how AI can be used to leverage the benefits of MBSE and significantly accelerate product development. Additionally, his department develops robust MBSE methods that can be used to efficiently connect large scale product development projects across many different actors using modern tools. To ensure industry relevance his department works closely with companies of different branches aligning the research topics to industry demands. Additionally, a fast transition of research results to industry is ensured, providing companies with the opportunity to save time and cost in their product development.

Christian Bertsch is a senior project manager at Bosch Research.
He studied mathematics and physics at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, focusing on numerics. Bertsch began his career at Bosch in 2001 as a simulation engineer. Since 2004, he has led projects for Bosch Research in the fields of system simulation, advanced model-based functions and algorithms for embedded software, cloud applications, and dynamical digital twins.
Within the Bosch Group, he coordinates the usage of FMI and represents Bosch in the FMI Project, serving as its leader since 2022.

Felix Ernesti specializes in solid mechanics, optimization and automation both in legacy tools and on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. He did his PhD in engineering mechanics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology focussing on fracture mechanics and FFT-based homogenization methods for fiber reinforced composites. With TECHNIA he is responsible for customer education, support and presales activities within the SIMULIA brand.

Martin Kopřiva studied Automotive Engineering with a focus on engines at Brno University of Technology. He began his professional career at Honeywell, where he tested turbochargers and further developed his passion for high‑performance engines and fast cars.
In 2011, after nearly three years at Honeywell, he joined MANN+HUMMEL as an Acoustic Engineer, supported by a fully international development program. Over time, Martin was promoted to Simulation & Acoustics Team Leader, a role in which he has been continuously expanding his expertise and leadership experience for more than 12 years.
During his career, he has specialized in fluid dynamics simulations using STAR‑CCM+ across the full MANN+HUMMEL product portfolio, including air induction systems, oil modules, and fuel modules. In addition, he is an active member of the digitalization team, focusing on the implementation of the digital thread in simulation work flow.
Beyond his professional career, Martin is married and the proud father of two children. When not working or building his house, he enjoys traveling through nature, either on foot or by bike.

Filip Zatloukal studied at Brno Univerzity of Technology on Energy Institued aimed on Fluid Mechanics. Through study he gets skills in computational software Ansys and design softwares like Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks. At this moment Filip is working as Advanced Design Engineer in company MANN+HUMMEL in team Air Filter Systems where is working with Catia, NX, 3DEXPERIENCE (Catia V6), FEMFAT with aim to plastic parts, tubes and sheetmetal parts. Filip's hobbies are traveling, fitness, runing, riding a bicycle, exploring beauty of nature, food, coffee and spending time with his friends.

Adel Taghiyar is a CATIA Systems Industry Process Consultant at Dassault Systèmes, driving Model-Based Systems Engineering transformations across the Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment, and Life Sciences industries.

He specializes in connecting requirements, architecture, and engineering processes on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and CATIA Magic, enabling the shift from document-based engineering to fully integrated digital system models. His current focus is on AI applications in the context of Systems Engineering, contributing to the evolution of next-generation MBSE practices, while also co-chairing an INCOSE working group focused on MBSE applications for industrial systems.

Aistė is a representative of CATIA Systems, she is an expert in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). Her specialization is modeling methodology for specifying the cross-discipline architecture of complex systems. She delivers trainings and tutorials as well as provides consultance on this subject matter. Plus, she is a co-author of MagicGrid Book of Knowledge.

Aistė holds a master’s degree in Information Systems Engineering from Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). She is OMG® Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) and INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP).

Anjuli Singh is a CATIA Systems Industry Process Consultant Manager at Dassault Systèmes in Eurocentral, specializing in model-based systems engineering and digital engineering transformations across Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Aerospace and Life Sciences.

She focuses on connecting requirements, system architecture and engineering processes on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and CATIA Magic, enabling the shift from document-based to fully integrated system models.

Antonio SCARCELLI graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Tarbes in 1980. 
Since 1999 he has worked as an Application Engineer at the Dassault Systèmes Competency Center and now holds the role of Mechanical Industry Process Expert focused on tooling applications. 
From 1983, his career has spanned support, documentation, training and development for CAD/CAM clients. He has acquired experience in the tooling area thanks to participation in various European projects, contacts generated and numerous workshops with important clients on which he has collaborated. He was included in the list of experts of the European Commission and was an evaluator of various project proposals. He is responsible for developing methodologies based on CATIA V5 and 3DEXPERIENCE to cover the Customer Process for Die Design, Sheet Metal, Fasteners and 3D Master.
Last year, he became Team Leader within CATIA Engineering Organization for CATIA Multi-Disciplines Engineering activities.

Arshita Paliwal, an Industry Process Specialist at Dassault Systèmes, brings over five years of experience in Systems Engineering to her role.

Bill SILAMIANOS is a Senior Industry Process Consultant for Dassault Systèmes, specialized in CATIA Creative/Production Modeling and Reverse Engineering.
Inspired by vehicle design, he has over 35 years' experience in the automotive field, working with and providing modeling solutions to some of the largest OEMs in North America, Europe, Asia and South America. Carole is Portfolio Director for CATIA R&D Design & Engineering at Dassault Systèmes.

She has an extensive background in R&D projects for CATIA across various fields, from quality assessment to SaaS solution definition. For the past 7 years, Carole has been defining solutions and evolving the Engineering to Manufacturing portfolio, and more broadly in Engineering for CATIA R&D, working closely with clients in the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. With 19 years at Dassault Systèmes, I am a Cyber Systems Industry Process Senior Expert within the Industry Process Success organization. I specialize in Model-Based Systems Engineering, where I define and advance industry processes for systems disciplines.

I collaborate closely with R&D and portfolio management teams to align solutions with industry needs, and I develop MBSE demonstrators showcasing the value of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for systems engineering.

With nearly nine years of experience at Dassault Systèmes, Christopher is a specialist in Systems Engineering and Simulation. He has a profound focus on multi-physics system simulation using Modelica/Dymola and the FMI standard. His expertise includes battery cell and pack modeling, as well as the implementation of advanced simulation workflows within the 3DEXPERIENCE ecosystem.

Clément BAILLARGUET is a Systems Engineer at Dassault Systèmes. With a foundation in mechanical engineering and over five years of experience in multidisciplinary environments spanning systems, electronics/electrical, and software, he brings a holistic, end-to-end perspective to complex product development.

Constantin NEACSU has ten years of experience in the engineering field, during which he has acquired and developed his acumen in many industries and positions, from automotive to aerospace, in design, manufacturing, testing and systems. For the past five years, Constantin has been architecting systems and evolving the MBSE expertise with fellow engineers from leading companies in the UK. Constantin has a Bachelor & Masters in Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Daniele Esposito is an Industry Process Consultant Manager at Dassault Systèmes, specializing in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and multidisciplinary optimization.

Emir TOUAJNI is part of CATIA R&D team as a Concept Engineering Portfolio Manager based in France (Velizy). He define the concept solution alongside the development teams. He started his career as a CATIA Solution Tech Sales focused on design solutions, then moved in the formula one industry for 5 years where he worked for Catheram F1 and then Mclaren F1 as a Concept Lead Aero Engineer. And joined  Dassault Systèmes in the Concept Portfolio team to define and propose the best concept solutions for our customers.

Jens Menzen is an Industry Process Consultant for SIMULIA at Dassault Systèmes, bringing over 11 years of automotive industry experience. Jochem Bähr is a CATIA Engineering Process Expert at Dassault Systèmes, where he has been a member of the CATIA Multi-Discipline Engineering organization since 2010.

He began his career in 1997 following studies in process engineering, focusing on configuration and data management across industries including aerospace, industrial equipment, energy, and medical devices.

With over 15 years of expertise in technical and product communication, he supports customers in the implementation and use of CATIA Composer. Since 2025, he has also been guiding customers in adopting the 3D Master process.

Joe AMODEO is the Director for Process Automation & Optimisation within SIMULIA R&D.
Joe graduated from Cambridge University and gained a Ph.D. from Imperial College before joining Jaguar Cars as an Aerodynamicist in 1998. Joe was responsible for the aerodynamic development of a number of Jaguar vehicles, using physical test methods and CFD and eventually became the Technical Specialist for Aerodynamics at JLR.  Joe then joined Exa Corporation in 2005 as their first UK employee in order to focus exclusively on CFD with the PowerFLOW toolset.
At Exa Joe was heavily involved in the development and deployment of the PowerFLOW toolset for automotive and motorsport across the world. In 2017 Exa was acquired by Dassault Systèmes as part of their SIMULIA brand. Joe now manages a team dedicated to delivering automated simulation & optimization processes to SIMULIA customers worldwide. These automated solutions typically leverage the unified Modelling and Simulation data model of the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform on the cloud, otherwise known as MODSIM (MODeling & SIMulation)

Louis Offor is a skilled professional currently serving as a Cyber Systems Industry Process Specialist since April 2021, after previously holding the role of Roles Portfolio System Engineer. Prior to this, Louis gained experience as an intern at Aft Soft Limited Kft during a summer program in 2017, which focused on designing a bearing industry box handling manipulator. Louis holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO (2019-2021) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Debrecen (2014-2018).

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on aerospace and a Master of Engineering in Computer-Based Mechanical Engineering from Bremen University of Applied Sciences. He has been with Dassault Systèmes since 2011. His focus is on structural simulation and optimization.

Romain Perron is a seasoned technology leader with nearly two decades of experience at Dassault Systèmes, where he currently serves as Vice President of Research and Development. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s CATIA product line, previously leading initiatives as CATIA Web Apps Director and CATIA Mobile Apps Senior Manager. With a strong software engineering and product management background, Romain has consistently driven innovation in 3D design and user experience technologies. He is based in the Île-de-France region and is deeply engaged in shaping the future of digital engineering solutions.

Serge works as CATIA Mechanical Industry Process Expert Senior Specialist at Dassault Systèmes and is based in France.

After more than 10 years working for the car industry as a car configurator production specialist, I moved to CATIA Design team to support and promote our Product Experience solutions.
My experience in consulting and visual assets production (brochures, web configurators, print) gave me a rendering and visualization knowledge that I put now at the service of our Product Experiences, so we are always able to provide the best solutions to our customers.

Stefan MERTZ is a senior industry process expert within  Dassault Systèmes CATIA brand. With 10 years of experience in conceptual product development he is worldwide responsible for CATIA|SFE industry processes. After graduation at Technical University of Berlin with diploma in automotive engineering in 2011 he started as a project engineer at SFE GmbH in Berlin supporting and leading service projects in Europe, North America and Asia. Within 4 years at SFE GmbH he gained experience in project management, technical support and quality assurance.  In 2015 he joined  Dassault Systèmes as a solution consultant responsible for technical sales of CATIA | SFE products and is nowadays helping to enrich customer processes for conceptual design embracing MODELING & SIMULATION.

Stephan is with Dassault Systèmes for over 9 years and his professional experience in CAD, High-End Visualization, Virtual Reality and professional Product Development Methodologies sums up to more than 20 years.

Before being appointed as Portfolio Management Director for V+R Product Experience at CATIA in 2016, Stephan RITZ was Vice President for the Design and Engineering business at the RTT AG. He held various management positions at RTT AG, that included the technical development of Virtual Reality and High End Visualization solutions as well as managing advanced consulting teams and business development for our key Design and Engineering customers.

Prior to this, Stephan was working multiple years in the R&D department of the US based Mechdyne Corporation, developing virtual reality software applications for High End VR Centers.

Since 2016, Sébastien has been a leading advocate for the adoption of new modeling and engineering technologies, reducing time-to-market with Generative Design and MODSIM for traditional manufacturing processes, solving complex engineering problems with visual scripting, or creating intelligent parametric models thanks to modules. Right now**,** he is focusing on ensuring the right adoption of AI within CATIA to make engineering easier, better**,** and even faster.

Thomas BOVENDERD has been a ‘State-certified Technician specialising in Electronics’ since 1993.

He began his professional career in 1988 and has worked in various industries, specialising in electrical engineering. In 2013, he joined Dassault Systèmes, where he is responsible for our electrical and electronic technologies.

Thomas’s responsibilities include assessing customer processes and business requirements, defining feasible transformation pathways, and providing consultancy in the fields of electrical engineering and electronics in conjunction with system engineering processes, methods and tools. He is committed to delivering innovative solutions and supporting his customers on their journey towards digital transformation.

As a member of the CATIA Design Worldwide Team, I specialize in Surface Refinement solutions and use tools such as ICEM Surf, ICEM Design Experience (IDX) and ICEM Shape Design… I spent my first 16 business years working for several OEMs and suppliers before joining the Dassault Systèmes team in 2017. In myTech Sales role, I focus on empowering customers, driving knowledge transfer, and ensuring client success through technical expertise and innovative design solutions.

Thomas is a Senior System Simulation Engineer at Dassault Systèmes, specializing in Modelica-based system modeling and simulation. He works closely with industry partners to demonstrate advanced simulation workflows using Dymola and Modelica libraries. His expertise covers multi-domain system simulation, with a focus on energy systems. At this event, he shares insights into how system simulation can accelerate innovation and support better design decisions.

Driven by the ambition of simplifying the lives of others, Thorsten specializes in developing efficient methodologies and streamlined workflows. His expertise is backed by two professional qualifications in media technology and product design, along with over 18 years of experience in the aerospace, transportation, and mobility industries. He provides consultancy across multiple technical domains and specialized disciplines within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform (Simulia, Delmia, 3DExcite). While proficient in various CAD applications, CATIA is where his heart truly lies. Additionally, he serves on the examination board of the Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Recently graduated mechanical engineer. Employed at Dassault Systèmes in a technical sales team. Promoting the integration of intelligence and automation algorithms in CAD processes to improve productivity.

Ugo is an Industry Process Expert Manager at Dassault Systèmes, surrounded by a team of CATIA experts who focus on concept and Class-A surface modeling and visualization.
With 10 years of experience providing services to PSA and TOYOTA in digital perceived quality and virtual mock-ups, he specializes in the V+R Product Experience offering, focusing on realistic visualization, immersive solutions**,** and experience-driven technologies.

Yves GÉNEVAUX is a Graduate Engineer from the Ecole des Arts et Métiers. He has worked in the field of system and software engineering for embedded systems for more than twenty-five years. He collaborated with key accounts of the aeronautical, railways, automotive, energy, telecommunications and defense industries worldwide.

After several years working as a Software engineer, he developed several start-ups offering development and validation tools for embedded systems (Verilog, PolySpace Technologies, Argosim). He also worked for large US-based companies such as The Mathworks. In Dassault Systèmes, Yves is in charge of developing the sales of CATIA Stimulus.

Experienced Team Leader who actively contributes to the team’s work through technical coordination and the creation of 3D and 2D construction documentation, mainly using the CATIA system. He has worked in international teams across several countries, gaining strong experience in multicultural collaboration.

He also supports the team’s activities through CATIA administration, advanced CATIA user training, and the resolution of day-to-day technical issues.

David has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and defended a PhD in industrial automation. He has joined Dassault Systèmes in 2021 after being an associate professor at University of Lorraine, and coming with about 20 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, through his research & teaching topics and his industrial collaboration with various industries (EDF, Bombardier, AIRBUS, SAFRAN…). David is INCOSE member since 2005, active or co-animator in various working groups (MBSE Methodologies, Training and competence…), and Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP). David is currently CATIA Cyber Systems Industry Process Expert Senior Manager.
