Christian Bertsch is a senior project manager at Bosch Research.
He studied mathematics and physics at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, focusing on numerics. Bertsch began his career at Bosch in 2001 as a simulation engineer. Since 2004, he has led projects for Bosch Research in the fields of system simulation, advanced model-based functions and algorithms for embedded software, cloud applications, and dynamical digital twins.
Within the Bosch Group, he coordinates the usage of FMI and represents Bosch in the FMI Project, serving as its leader since 2022.

Environmental Engineer, specialized in Life Cycle Assessment and Eco-design, he is supporting industrial players (mainly aerospace sector) to integrate environmental performance into technical and business decisions.

Felix Ernesti specializes in solid mechanics, optimization and automation both in legacy tools and on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. He did his PhD in engineering mechanics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology focussing on fracture mechanics and FFT-based homogenization methods for fiber reinforced composites. With TECHNIA he is responsible for customer education, support and presales activities within the SIMULIA brand.

A graduate of a Master’s degree program in Computer Science and the leader of the Silesian Phoenix project. Responsible for overseeing the overall execution of the project and ensuring proper organization and coordination of all activities. Also leading the software development team, working collaboratively on the development of all software used on the Phoenix III platform, including systems enabling platform maneuverability, long-distance communication, and other key functionalities. Currently preparing to begin PhD studies.

Philipp Hartl is a mechanical engineer and battery cell specialist with experience in the automotive industry and a strong focus on battery cell development, mechanical design, and system validation. He holds a Master of Science degree in Human Factors Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, where he combined mechanical engineering expertise with user‑centered and system‑level analysis. Over the course of more than seven years in automotive development, he has worked in both series development and pre‑development environments, contributing to projects ranging from full vehicle packaging and homologation to advanced battery cell technologies.Since joining BMW Group, Philipp Hartl has been working as a specialist in lithium‑ion round cell mechanical design, supporting the development of next‑generation battery cells and ensuring compliance with demanding technical and quality requirements. His work includes the development and validation of mechanical cell components, coordination of CAD and drawing activities, and the use of state‑of‑the‑art connected engineering and simulation workflows. In this role, he acts as a technical interface between design, validation, and series development.

René Honcak is Head of Digital Twin in the Electrified Powertrain Technology division at ZF, where he leads the development and implementation of digital twins for e-mobility. Prior to this, he served as Head of Digital Twin at ASAP Engineering. He began his career as a research assistant at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in the field of micro- and nanotechnology.He studied Applied Mathematics (B.Sc. Scientific Computing, M.Sc. Stochastic Engineering) and has expertise in modeling and simulation, machine learning, system architecture, and technical project management. With extensive experience in the automotive and manufacturing industries, he drives the advancement of digital development processes and innovative technologies.

An Assistant Professor at the Silesian University of Technology, specializing in the education of future engineers regarding design and the practical application of CAD software. The curriculum focuses on industry-leading standards, specifically SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. In addition to teaching, serves as the scientific advisor for the Silesian Phoenix project, providing the mentorship and technical expertise necessary to translate ambitious student concepts into innovative engineering solutions.

Jaewung Jung has been working for Hyundai Motor Company over 14 years as Durability Technology Engineer in South Korea. He had worked as a Vehicle Durability Test Engineer who develops test specifications from parts to vehicle level with Road Load Data Acquisition. He has now changed his role as a simulation engineer who replaces physical vehicle durability tests with Virtual methodology using Multi-Physical vehicle simulation based on Dymola.

Martin Kopřiva studied Automotive Engineering with a focus on engines at Brno University of Technology. He began his professional career at Honeywell, where he tested turbochargers and further developed his passion for high‑performance engines and fast cars.
In 2011, after nearly three years at Honeywell, he joined MANN+HUMMEL as an Acoustic Engineer, supported by a fully international development program. Over time, Martin was promoted to Simulation & Acoustics Team Leader, a role in which he has been continuously expanding his expertise and leadership experience for more than 12 years.
During his career, he has specialized in fluid dynamics simulations using STAR‑CCM+ across the full MANN+HUMMEL product portfolio, including air induction systems, oil modules, and fuel modules. In addition, he is an active member of the digitalization team, focusing on the implementation of the digital thread in simulation work flow.
Beyond his professional career, Martin is married and the proud father of two children. When not working or building his house, he enjoys traveling through nature, either on foot or by bike.

Dr.-Ing. Johannes Kremheller is a simulation engineer in BMW Group’s powertrain development department, specializing in virtual validation of electric engines. He develops and applies FEM-based fatigue simulations and multibody simulations to assess durability as well as system behavior and supports the industrialization of complex simulation workflows. A key focus is integrating BMW internal engineering processes and toolchains into the 3DX platform, enabling consistent data, traceability, and efficient collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. He holds a PhD and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.

In her role as a project lead, her focus lies on parametric modeling approaches and the development of rule-based geometry for automotive applications. She operates at the intersection of traditional Class-A surface development and modern, automated, and data-driven design methodologies. She works with tools such as ICEM Surf as well as parametric environments including Rhino and Grasshopper.

A key aspect of her work is the evolution of model-based development processes toward more automated, script-driven, and flexible design workflows. In particular, she explores the transition from classical parametric methods to visual scripting and process-integrated automation strategies in automotive design.

Since 2023, she has also been a lecturer at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, teaching “Surface Modeling and Reverse Engineering,” bridging industrial practice and academic education.

Her professional interests include the automation of surface workflows, the integration of parametric and scripting-based systems into industrial development processes, and digital methods of geometry generation in automotive design. Her current focus is on translating emerging digital approaches such as visual scripting into practical industrial environments to enhance efficiency, variability, and process robustness.

Frederik Moers studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. After his graduation he started his pHD at the Institute for Machine Elements and Systems Engineering (MSE) at RWTH Aachen University in 2023. In his research he investigated the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods in large development projects. For his dissertation he investigates the efficient extraction of MBSE system architectures from legacy data, like physical behavior models, to accelerate the application of MBSE in industrial practice. From mid-2024 until the end of 2025 he was the project leader of the MSE's contribution for the Einstein Telescope, a planned gravitational wave detector. Since early 2026 he is head of the MSE's Systems Engineering department for Connected Systems. His department investigates how AI can be used to leverage the benefits of MBSE and significantly accelerate product development. Additionally, his department develops robust MBSE methods that can be used to efficiently connect large scale product development projects across many different actors using modern tools. To ensure industry relevance his department works closely with companies of different branches aligning the research topics to industry demands. Additionally, a fast transition of research results to industry is ensured, providing companies with the opportunity to save time and cost in their product development.

Johannes Pfeiffer studied engineering at the Technical Universities of Berlin and Istanbul and a has a strong international background and extensive experience in airbag development and application engineering.

He currently works at Joyson Safety Systems as Technical Lead Engineer Cushion Engineering, a position in which he is responsible for ensuring production ready application and oversees product development related to the airbag cushion component. He plays an active role in the further development of development processes and engineering standards within cushion development and focuses on strengthening cross functional collaboration and design for manufacturing.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as a Program Manager for airbag application projects with major OEM customers, and as Development Engineer in the global pre-development department for more than ten years, where he contributed to innovative airbag concepts and early-phase product development on a global level.

Before transitioning to the field of occupants restraints, he has been working for almost 2 years at SFE GmbH, where he already gained experience in the ModSim approach and also completed his Diploma Thesis “Parametric-associative links between SFE CONCEPT and CATIA”.

She is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in system development, project management, and multidisciplinary engineering across the aerospace, defense, and automotive industries.

Since July 2021, she has been serving as Head of System Development and Team Lead for Project Management at Scope Engineering GmbH in Bremen, where she leads cross-functional teams, drives system engineering strategies, and oversees complex technical projects.

Prior to this role, she worked at Silver Atena GmbH as a System Engineer and Project Manager, specializing in system requirements engineering and leading projects in the defense and aerospace sectors. She contributed to business acquisition by preparing technical proposals and conducting client negotiations, while also improving system development processes.

From 2018 to 2020, she held roles at Silver Atena GmbH and OHB System AG, focusing on validation and verification of satellite control software, development of test environments, and technical test management for space projects.

Earlier, she worked as a Software Integration Engineer at Continental AG, contributing to runtime environment integration and safety-oriented automated testing systems.

She holds a Master of Science in Embedded Systems and Microrobotics from the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Fachhochschule Brandenburg.

She combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a passion for driving complex engineering projects and continuous improvement.

Tobias Schmid is a Technical Product Management, Director for Keysight Optical Design Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in optical sciences from the University of Central Florida. Currently, he is focused on the development of optical design, simulation, and analysis software for the specialized needs of the automotive lighting industry. Further background includes optical design experience (Tier-1) for automotive headlamps, LED optics and illumination system design, algorithms for optical freeform surfaces, optical imaging systems without symmetry, and optical alignment strategies.

Arjen Spaans is a systems engineer (CSEP) and MBSE specialist at Airbus Defence and Space.
He currently leads the development of a UAF based architecture modelling methodology for large scale defence programs, heading a team of senior MBSE experts covering the full scope of architecture development, from modeling methods and tooling to data quality, deliverable definition and organisational alignment.
His approach to MBSE is founded in practicality and minimalism. Models must serve an explicit purpose and not exist for their own sake. This means deliverable-driven modelling activities and reviews, explicit data ownership, technical management enablement and an explicit boundary of what is modeled and what is not.

Casper Stubbemann is a Systems Engineering specialist and MBSE expert based in Bremen, with over five years of professional experience in the development and implementation of model-based engineering methodologies across the defense, maritime, and aerospace sectors.
Currently serving as MBSE Coordinator and Project Lead at SCOPE Engineering GmbH, Casper functional leads a team of five engineers in the field of model-based systems development.
His technical expertise spans classical and model-based Systems Engineering, SysML-based architecture frameworks including NAFv4, ADMBw@NAFv4, and SAF, as well as leading engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM DOORS, IBM Rhapsody, and PTC Windchill. He has supported the rollout of SE and MBSE processes in various organizations and has in-depth knowledge of relevant standards.
In addition to his industry work, he serves as a guest lecturer at Hochschule Bremen, where he teaches Systems Engineering and supervises student projects in MBSE and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.

Dr. Mirko Theiss is the Head of Business Unit Solutions - Product Management & Development, at PROSTEP Group. Mirko has worked for PROSTEP since 2005 in system integration projects as architect and project lead and has been responsible for OpenPDM since 2017. Together with his team, he is responsible for PROSTEP’s Digital Thread Platform and works closely with the expert teams of 3DEXPERIENCE from Dassault Systèmes. He studied at the Technical University of Darmstadt but not computer integrated design as one would expect but civil engineering, specializing in numerical methods and collaborative integration processes.

Anthony Walsh has been working since 2011 at ESA/ESOC with responsibilities in the development and maintenance of ESOC’s mission ground segments. Anthony is project manager for the Multi-Mission Infrastructure Program, which is the subject of this presentation.

Filip Zatloukal studied at Brno Univerzity of Technology on Energy Institued aimed on Fluid Mechanics. Through study he gets skills in computational software Ansys and design softwares like Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks. At this moment Filip is working as Advanced Design Engineer in company MANN+HUMMEL in team Air Filter Systems where is working with Catia, NX, 3DEXPERIENCE (Catia V6), FEMFAT with aim to plastic parts, tubes and sheetmetal parts. Filip's hobbies are traveling, fitness, runing, riding a bicycle, exploring beauty of nature, food, coffee and spending time with his friends.

Dr. Dirk Zimmer is Chairman of the Modelica Association and employed at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). He received his PhD degree at the Department of Computer Science of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) with an award of excellence. Also, he is lecturer at the Institute of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

For more than ten years, he headed a research team at DLR in the field of aircraft energy systems and founded the popular open-source Modelica library DLR ThermoFluid Stream for the robust modeling of complex thermal architectures. With his change to the field of robotics, he revisits his roots in computer science and develops new compilation schemes for highly scalable Modelica models.

Michael Adrian is working as a Technical Sales Specialist in the CATIA Design IPS Team. Michael started his professional career in Virtual Reality technologies back in the 1990s after his study of Philosophy and Linguistics.

His expertise includes 3D data conversion and preparation for real-time rendering, immersive processes and technologies in industrial review applications, multi-user environments for collaborative design reviews and some more.

Today Michael is supporting our customers and partners as technical sales consultant.

Aistė is a representative of CATIA Systems, she is an expert in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). Her specialization is modeling methodology for specifying the cross-discipline architecture of complex systems. She delivers trainings and tutorials as well as provides consultance on this subject matter. Plus, she is a co-author of MagicGrid Book of Knowledge.

Aistė holds a master’s degree in Information Systems Engineering from Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). She is OMG® Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) and INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP).

Joe AMODEO is the Director for Process Automation & Optimisation within SIMULIA R&D.
Joe graduated from Cambridge University and gained a Ph.D. from Imperial College before joining Jaguar Cars as an Aerodynamicist in 1998. Joe was responsible for the aerodynamic development of a number of Jaguar vehicles, using physical test methods and CFD and eventually became the Technical Specialist for Aerodynamics at JLR.  Joe then joined Exa Corporation in 2005 as their first UK employee in order to focus exclusively on CFD with the PowerFLOW toolset.
At Exa Joe was heavily involved in the development and deployment of the PowerFLOW toolset for automotive and motorsport across the world. In 2017 Exa was acquired by Dassault Systèmes as part of their SIMULIA brand. Joe now manages a team dedicated to delivering automated simulation & optimization processes to SIMULIA customers worldwide. These automated solutions typically leverage the unified Modelling and Simulation data model of the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform on the cloud, otherwise known as MODSIM (MODeling & SIMulation)

Jochem Bähr is a CATIA Engineering Process Expert at Dassault Systèmes, where he has been a member of the CATIA Multi-Discipline Engineering organization since 2010.

He began his career in 1997 following studies in process engineering, focusing on configuration and data management across industries including aerospace, industrial equipment, energy, and medical devices.

With over 15 years of expertise in technical and product communication, he supports customers in the implementation and use of CATIA Composer. Since 2025, he has also been guiding customers in adopting the 3D Master process.

Clément BAILLARGUET is a Systems Engineer at Dassault Systèmes. With a foundation in mechanical engineering and over five years of experience in multidisciplinary environments spanning systems, electronics/electrical, and software, he brings a holistic, end-to-end perspective to complex product development.

Éloi Baudoux is a French engineer and industrial designer. With over 20 years of experience at Renault Group, he has navigated the full spectrum of product strategy, customer experience, and innovation leadership — from defining vehicle product roadmaps to directing creativity and innovation labs. He has also spent 17 years teaching innovative design methods. Today, Éloi co-leads the Design Studio at Dassault Systèmes. The studio digs into how people actually work, runs hands-on design experiments, and builds experiences that are both ahead of their time and grounded in reality. At its core, the mission is about designers — empowering them do their best work as AI changes everything around them.

Marcel Bauer received his PhD from Technical University of Darmstadt, where he specialized in finite element (FE) simulations and advanced engineering analysis.

Since 2023, he has been working at Dassault Systemes as a Technical Sales Consultant for the company’s in-house multibody simulation (MBS) solutions, including Simpack and Motion Apps. His areas of application include full vehicle simulations, kinematic analyses, and the development of simulation-driven engineering workflows.

As VP of R&D for CATIA Cyber Systems, Frédéric aims at enabling the multidisciplinarydevelopment of software defined products to secure the value of the experience thanks to the virtual twins.

Before joining DassaultSystèmes, Frédéric cumulated over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry and in the embedded software industry at Stellantis, Wind River and Aptiv. He was involved in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from innovation to development until start of production then maintenance.

He engaged in global standardization alliances and open source projects which enriched his technological vision while growing his culture of collaboration. Thomas BOVENDERD has been a ‘State-certified Technician specialising in Electronics’ since 1993.

He began his professional career in 1988 and has worked in various industries, specialising in electrical engineering. In 2013, he joined Dassault Systèmes, where he is responsible for our electrical and electronic technologies.

Thomas’s responsibilities include assessing customer processes and business requirements, defining feasible transformation pathways, and providing consultancy in the fields of electrical engineering and electronics in conjunction with system engineering processes, methods and tools. He is committed to delivering innovative solutions and supporting his customers on their journey towards digital transformation.

More than 30 years as a consultant subcontractor as a senior creative designer and 3D senior surface designer working for prestigious automotive design studio (Centro Stile FIAT, Centro Stile Bertone, Lamborghini, Italdesign, Iveco, Peugeot, Jac Motors, Faw, Changan, Alitalia, Jaguar Land Rover Design Center.).

Carole is Portfolio Director for CATIA R&D Design & Engineering at Dassault Systèmes.

She has an extensive background in R&D projects for CATIA across various fields, from quality assessment to SaaS solution definition. For the past 7 years, Carole has been defining solutions and evolving the Engineering to Manufacturing portfolio, and more broadly in Engineering for CATIA R&D, working closely with clients in the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. Passionate about innovation and transformation projects, she is now leading the Design & Engineering Portfolio, ensuring that each solution is aligned with future industry needs and technological advancements.

Franck is involved in the portfolio management of Embedded Systems Products in the CATIA Systems department of Dassault Systèmes. Franck works on the define of solutions for the design and the validation of control systems in various industries and in particular close to OEM & equipment suppliers in railway and avionics domains.

After more than 10 years working for the car industry as a car configurator production specialist, I moved to CATIA Design team to support and promote our Product Experience solutions.
My experience in consulting and visual assets production (brochures, web configurators, print) gave me a rendering and visualization knowledge that I put now at the service of our Product Experiences, so we are always able to provide the best solutions to our customers.

Daniele Esposito is an Industry Process Consultant Manager at Dassault Systèmes, specializing in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and multidisciplinary optimization.

Since joining SIMULIA in 2019, he has worked with the Worldwide Fluid Tech Sales team, helping customers across industries unlock the value of SIMULIA Fluids solutions. His expertise spans aerodynamics, thermal applications and complex fluids, often combining multiple simulation tools for multiphysics simulations.

At this event, he will showcase how design and simulation can integrate seamlessly, presenting technical insights in a clear, engaging way for non-experts.

As a member of the CATIA Design Worldwide Team, I specialize in Surface Refinement solutions and use tools such as ICEM Surf, ICEM Design Experience (IDX) and ICEM Shape Design… I spent my first 16 business years working for several OEMs and suppliers before joining the Dassault Systèmes team in 2017. In myTech Sales role, I focus on empowering customers, driving knowledge transfer, and ensuring client success through technical expertise and innovative design solutions.

Yves GÉNEVAUX is a Graduate Engineer from the Ecole des Arts et Métiers. He has worked in the field of system and software engineering for embedded systems for more than twenty-five years. He collaborated with key accounts of the aeronautical, railways, automotive, energy, telecommunications and defense industries worldwide.

After several years working as a Software engineer, he developed several start-ups offering development and validation tools for embedded systems (Verilog, PolySpace Technologies, Argosim). He also worked for large US-based companies such as The Mathworks. In Dassault Systèmes, Yves is in charge of developing the sales of CATIA Stimulus.

David has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and defended a PhD in industrial automation. He has joined Dassault Systèmes in 2021 after being an associate professor at University of Lorraine, and coming with about 20 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, through his research & teaching topics and his industrial collaboration with various industries (EDF, Bombardier, AIRBUS, SAFRAN…). After achieving a master's degree in aerospace engineering, Yueying is currently an Industry Process Specialist with a focus on Model-based Systems Engineering in Dassault Systemes. Where she developed her expertise in SysML and MBSE methodologies, and consults customers on best practices in systems modelling in diverse industry contexts and guides them through the MBSE adoption. Louis Offor is a skilled professional currently serving as a Cyber Systems Industry Process Specialist since April 2021, after previously holding the role of Roles Portfolio System Engineer. Before being appointed as Portfolio Management Director for V+R Product Experience at CATIA in 2016, Stephan RITZ was Vice President for the Design and Engineering business at the RTT AG. He held various management positions at RTT AG, that included the technical development of Virtual Reality and High End Visualization solutions as well as managing advanced consulting teams and business development for our key Design and Engineering customers.

Prior to this, Stephan was working multiple years in the R&D department of the US based Mechdyne Corporation, developing virtual reality software applications for High End VR Centers.

Graduated in Industrial Design, Felix works for Dassault Systèmes for 11 years now, as Senior Solution Consultant and Techsales for CATIA Design.
Working in the CATIA Design IPS team, his role includes the following tasks:
- Consulting and supporting customers on the 3D design solutions
- Analyzing and consulting the Design Studio workflow and digital tool chain of its customers
- Executing sales demonstrations with the 3D design solutions for various customers from different industries
- Performing software trainings of our solution to designers and engineers of our customers
- Designing various products to demonstrate our design solutions to our customers to support the sales process

Antonio SCARCELLI graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Tarbes in 1980. 
Since 1999 he has worked as an Application Engineer at the Dassault Systèmes Competency Center and now holds the role of Mechanical Industry Process Expert focused on tooling applications. 
From 1983, his career has spanned support, documentation, training and development for CAD/CAM clients. He has acquired experience in the tooling area thanks to participation in various European projects, contacts generated and numerous workshops with important clients on which he has collaborated. He was included in the list of experts of the European Commission and was an evaluator of various project proposals. He is responsible for developing methodologies based on CATIA V5 and 3DEXPERIENCE to cover the Customer Process for Die Design, Sheet Metal, Fasteners and 3D Master.
