Shawn Ehrstein

Shawn Ehrstein
Director of Emerging Technologies and CAD/CAM at WSU’s National Institute for Aviation Research. Mr. Ehrstein has overall administrative responsibility for coordinating projects, researching new methodologies and implementing additive manufacturing and reverse engineering. Mr. Ehrstein is also regarded as a “Digital Twin” expert in the Design community.
In his administrative capacity, Mr. Ehrstein oversees multiple laboratories at the National Institute for Aviation Research namely CAD/CAM Lab, Additive Manufacturing Lab, Reverse Engineering Lab, Emerging Technologies, Virtual Reality Lab, Automation Research Center and the Applied Learning Program. Mr. Ehrstein also oversees the “3D Experience Center” – a high-tech series of lab where industry, community and academia can innovate using next generation tools and technologies. For over two decades, Mr. Ehrstein has been training the advanced manufacturing industry by offering specialized custom training, workforce development training courses and have offered over 25 different certification courses in CAD/CAM software and Product Lifecycle Management software such as Dassault Systèmes 3DExperience Platform and Siemens Xcelerator.

Daniel Pyzak

Daniel Pyzak
Daniel PYZAK graduated in Mechanical Engineering. He has over 38 years of experience in CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM. After positions held in technical support and product management in various CAD/CAM companies (Cisi, Cisigraph, Matra Datavision), he joined Dassault Systèmes Provence in 1999 to manage the Competency Center. The main activities of DSP Competency Center are around tooling, machining, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing and data exchanges.
Ten years later, he became responsible of different CATIA technical teams inside for EMEAR (Design, Engineering). And since January 2020, he’s managing the worldwide CATIA Mechanical Industry Process Success organization with a strong focus on Lightweight Engineering: Generative Design, Composites, Mold & Die, Additive Manufacturing, Modeling & Simulation.

Jacob Bunch

Jacob Bunch
Jacob joined Dassault Systèmes in 2021. He is a part of the NAM CATIA IPC team focusing on CATIA Mechanical, specializing in Automation & Composites. Prior to joining DS, Jacob spent 10 years in industry, where he spent most of his time as Composites Design Engineer at GE Renewable Energy (now GE Vernova). He first started using CAD in high school, where he learned the art of drafting by hand. He began using CATIA in 2014.

Zhen Yang

Zhen Yang
Zhen Yang has over 15 years’ experience as an automotive engineer and an electrical engineer, at a major Automotive OEM and in the PLM industry. In his 10 years at Dassault Systèmes, Zhen has helped spearhead the definition and adoption of advanced capabilities for modeling electrical systems in CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, and CATIA Magic. Zhen currently focuses on providing new approaches for wire harness modeling to the Model-Based Systems Engineering community.

Chris Meeker, PE, is a Senior Systems Architect at Dassault Systèmes. Chris has over 20 years of success in advancing model-based engineering and digital transformation for design, manufacturing, and operations in aerospace & defense and health care.

Currently at Dassault Systèmes, working closely with customers to optimize their design processes, focusing on creating lightweight parts through integrated modeling and simulation, and enhancing CAD quality by implementing advanced automation techniques.

Jason Wilson

Jason Wilson is the Senior Director for the Americas for the Dassault Systèmes CATIA Cyber Physical Systems, responsible for new customer development, partnerships, Systems Engineering, and client solutions. Jason has been with Dassault Systèmes for fourteen years. He has held various roles, including Product, Sales, and Solutions Management, as well as business development and Project Management. Jason is part of and contributes to the OMG (Object Management Group), IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis, Dallas), ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education), and INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering), and is proud to be a Toastmaster. Jason resides in McKinney, Texas, with his wife and two children. When not working, Jason enjoys the outdoors, sports, and time with family.

Claudio joined Dassault Systèmes in December 2023. He is a CATIA Systems Industry Process Consultant Senior Specialist specializing in MBSE and Systems Engineering Integrations. Prior to joining DS, Claudio spent 12 years in various industries, including Automotive, Aerospace, and High Tech. Most recently, Claudio spent 4 years at Waymo supporting CATIA users and deploying CATIA engineering design tools and integrations within the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. He began using Dassault Systems products in 2012.

Swati UMAMAHESHWARAN

Swati UMAMAHESHWARAN
Swati UMAMAHESHWARAN is an Industry Process Consultant with Dassault Systèmes. She graduated from Purdue University with Masters in Mechanical Engineering. She specializes in 0D/1D systems modelling and analysis. Currently, she is works with industrial equipment and automotive industry to implement various workflows based on the MBSE methodologies.
